Mulberry's Market Community Involvement From the onset, Mulberry's has made the commitment to invest in the Piedmont community. Before our doors opened we pledged to donate 10% of our profits to Piedmont's schools and community groups. As Piedmont's "Third Place", it is important for us to recognize what makes our town so special, and to back up the hundreds of unsung heroes who devote their time and talents to supporting the organizations that truly set Piedmont apart. If your 501 (c) 3 charitable organization is seeking Mulberry's financial or in-kind support, please fill out our application and bring it into the store well in advance of your event.
Mulberry's Market will consider each request on an individual basis. A donations committee consisting of the owners, managers and employees meets the last Monday of each month to consider all requests for the following month. Any requests submitted by the first Monday of that month will be considered at that meeting; for example, Mulberry's will hold a meeting on the last Monday in February to consider March requests, which must be received by the first Monday in February in order to qualify for consideration.
As one of the few visible businesses in Piedmont, we receive approximately 5-10 requests each week from Piedmont community groups, and we do our best to support as many as possible. We are best able to support those groups that give advance notice of their event or request. Please know that because of the volume of requests, we are not able to respond to donation requests we receive in the mail or VIa email without a completed application.
